I grew up in Pembs and went to Whitland Grammar School. I taught in Manorbier Primary, had a deputy headship and two headships in the midlands and a further headship in Cornwall before taking on the roll of School Improvement Officer . My role for the last 15 years before retirement was working as part of the School Improvement Team to improve underperforming schools in East Cornwall.
I have two grandsons of whom I am very proud in Narberth School.
I am delighted to be a member of the Narberth Governing Body and to be able to actively continue my interest in school improvement. I see myself as the children’s’ champion. They each deserve nothing less than the best that we can provide .
I hope that I am approachable. I am always happy to discuss school related issues so that we can all work together to ensure that Narberth school meets the needs of its children and their families.

Mrs L Tamplin

In 2006 I became a Parent Governor and currently serve as a Community Governor.
During my time as a governor I was the Chair of Governors for 4 years and have been involved in two Estyn Inspections.
I have been on the recruitment panels for all senior positions including head teacher.
For 12 years I was the Link Governor for Safeguarding and Child Protection.
At present I am Chair of the Finance & Buildings committee.
Three of my children attended Narberth School and my grandson will start when he is old enough.
I am a Chartered Civil Engineer and live in Clunderwen.

Mr O Phillips

I have been on the governing body of Narberth CP School for 3 years. I am a parent governor and I have three children in the welsh stream. Currently, my role is to support the development of the new curriculum as well as making the wellbeing of staff and pupils a priority. I am also part of the school improvement committee where we meet to discuss school priorities. I have been very lucky to have supported the school and engaged with the pupils in both the Welsh and English streams through listening to learners, listening to readers, book scrutiny and I have also been involved on interview panels. I am privileged to support the hard working staff and pupils of Narberth CP School.

Mrs J Howells

Having been a governor for five years, I’ve truly enjoyed the challenges this role brings. As a parent of two children who attend the Welsh stream, I wanted to support our school in every way I can. I support the school through various initiatives, including helping with the implementation of new curriculum, and I serve on both the buildings and finance committee and the school improvement committee. I’ve enjoyed listening to readers, participating in learning walks, and assisting with staff recruitment. It is a pleasure to support the hardworking staff here in Narberth and play a part in contributing to our wonderful school community!

Kimberly Good
I enjoy football and have been involved with the local football club as a player for many years and recently as a junior girls coach with close links to the school. I have worked in education for over 10 years as a primary school teacher in Pembrokeshire, beginning that journey by completing work experience at Narberth as well as other schools within the cluster. I jumped at the chance to apply to become a parent governor of Narberth CP School in 2023 to help support this wonderful school community to continue to thrive. As a past pupil and existing school parent, I know the impact the teachers and the nurturing environment have on facilitating children to reach their full potential. My developing role within the governing body is to be linked with and support pupil assessment and data, as well as raise the profile of the governing body within the school and wider community.
