Eco Schools Platinum Award

We are incredibly proud to have achieved the prestigious Eco-Schools Platinum Award for the sixth year running — a true reflection of our whole-school commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. This outstanding achievement recognises the dedication of our pupils, staff and wider school community in embedding eco-friendly practices into everyday school life.

Eco Committee

At the start of each academic year, our Eco Committee carries out a thorough Environmental Review to identify priorities and set meaningful targets. The team of dedicated students then meet fortnightly to plan upcoming events, share ideas and ensure our annual action plan is implemented effectively. Their passion, leadership and teamwork continue to drive positive change across our school, helping us maintain the highest standard of environmental excellence.

This year, our focus areas reflect our continued commitment to making a meaningful difference both locally and globally. We are strengthening our Global Citizenship provision by developing wider links and deepening pupils’ understanding of how their actions connect to the wider world. A key priority is improving energy conservation across the school, helping learners understand not only how to reduce energy use, but also the wider global impact of responsible consumption. Alongside this, we are placing a strong emphasis on the health and wellbeing of both staff and pupils, raising awareness through initiatives such as Anti-Bullying Week, promoting the importance of sleep and rest, and educating our school community about the effects of excessive screen time. Through these targeted actions, we aim to empower our learners to make informed, positive choices that benefit themselves, others and the planet.
